This insert is made of 2.0LB polyethylene foam. This foam is much more forgiving and will absorb more impact.
Includes:
1 Piece Convoluted Lid Foam.
1 Piece approximately 5.25" Thick with cutouts
1 Piece .50 thick base pad.

Mostly a great product!

If you're reading this review and looking for whether or not I recommend Cobra's products, I do. The foam is not quite as clean a fit as I would have preferred, but it is slightly too big instead of too small, which is of course the preferred concern to have. In any case (pun not intended), it fits well enough and is a significant upgrade over the original foam that came with my Plano handgun case. It fits my firearms much more securely than the original foam and I am very satisfied with it. I will admit that the production time may be longer than stated on this site, and customer service is not hasty to respond to status requests, but just be patient and trust that your order will be fulfilled eventually and you won't be disappointed. I certainly wasn't.

The insert is perfect and just what I was looking for. It is much better than the pick-apart foam I had been faced with.
