Pelican 1720 Long Case

I ordered my case with the foam cutouts reversed ( custom ). Along with Covid and the custom cutout ( my M4 lies with the charging handle facing up and the barrel points to the right ), it took longer than normal to arrive but was worth the wait. The M4 fit quite snugly and I had to press it in with some force but with that said, it was a perfect fit. The foam had a strange smell but something tells me that once it fully cures, that should go away. Maybe Pelican could elaborate on this. The case seemed a bit heavy and obviously is built to take abuse and come out shining so to speak. I'll never worry about its protection level. I'm quite happy with the case and workmanship.

Case is what you’d expect. Came with the uncut foam insert which my husband needed. We had previously ordered the foam for 1720 case for benelli m4, but needed the top part of the foam. We were happy to have it all put together. Can’t go wrong with a pelican case. I think cobras pricing is the best. For larger items like this it does seem to take a little longer to get processed and shipped, but overall very happy with products we’ve bought. Customer service has also been great and usually responds to emails within 24-48hrs.

I normally don't do these reviews, but felt I had to because this case came out awesome! I contacted the folks at Cobra Customs and ask them if I drew a file in AutoCAD (dxf) could they cut me a custom foam from my file. I took 3 evenings laying out my equipment and precisely measuring and drawing an outline of it in the CAD program, I'm very picky. I outlined every part, of every piece until I had it perfect. Now could Cobra Customs deliver, and deliver they did! They laser cut the foam glued it in and delivered a beautiful case that I will have for a lifetime. I'm now doing another build, and of course it will be protected by a Pelican with Cobra Custom Foam.

Case turned out great. I had it custom cut to account for the Razor HD gen II scope and monopod.
