Overview : Polyurethane foam is the most common type of foam used in cases. The foam is soft enough to provide flexibility for items, but also dense enough to provide cushion for even the heaviest of items.

Technical : Polyurethane is open cell which means air and water can flow freely throughout the foam. The material weighs about 1.2 - 1.3 lbs. per cubic foot.

Perfect Replacement for Original Pick-n-Pull

My new foam inserts arrived today. I test fit them to the Apache 3800 that will house my Elecraft KXPA100 amplifier, which was in an Apache 4800 with the original foam that is now falling apart.

The 3800 is big enough for the amplifier and support cables and will be much easier to pack. It will be easy to cut the insert to fit the amplifier and I expect this foam will last much longer than the pick-n-pull original, simply because using the case won't destroy the foam. This is good quality material and I will buy again.

Fit & finish we’re perfect! Wanted to replace the standard pluck foam for a more custom look. Cobra Foam is a great company & shipped out fast. Would definitely buy again. I previously used them to replace my foam in my Plano field locker, fit & finish were great as well! Looked like factory fit for both cases.
